
Return Policy
We recognize that when you are buying a dress online, often you don't have the opportunity to try it on and it may not meet your expectations. So, we have instituted a return policy effective 01/20/12 that we think is the most generous return policy for prom dresses on the internet. Many sites will claim that they do returns, but when you read the fine print you find that there are very limited situations for which it applies and does not apply to special orders. Our return policy is simple and straight-forward.
Online Orders Only (Includes Special Orders)
You may return a dress for store credit only (no refunds) for the full amount of the dress minus a 20% restocking fee on the amount of the dress and minus any shippings costs you may have paid. In addition we will deduct another $30 to cover additional shipping and handling charges. Store credit must be used all at one time on a dress of equal or greater value of the total credit. Store credit is valid for 6 months from the date we issue the credit.
1) Email us within 48 hours of delivery to request a Return. We will send a UPS call tag which means UPS will bring a label and pick up the dress. Just have it boxed up and ready to go.
2) Upon inspection of the item and verification that it is in original condition with tags attached, we will email you a coupon code for the amount of the credit. Store Credit is valid for 6 months from the date we issue the credit.
You may return one dress only once each 6 months. If you order multiple dresses within the 6 month period only one can be returned.
We don't do ''exchanges'' because this is too complicated due to wear dates and timing issues. Exchanges can be handled through our return policy.
Returned items must be in original new condition with tags still attached.
Return Policy does not apply to orders shipped outside the United States. All orders shipped outside the United States are Final Sales - no returns, credit, or refund..
Return Policy does not apply to customers who buy a dress on Layaway - no returns, store credit, or refund. This is because we are holding the dress for that particular customer and don't have the opportunity to sell the dress to someone else.
All sales are final when purchased off-line from our physical store because the customer was able to try on the dress before buying.
Once an order is processed or the order is placed with the manufacturer, it may not be canceled and is subject to our return policy.
To avoid problems due to sizing issues, be sure to check the size chart on the dress very carefully by clicking on ''View Size Chart'' on that specific dress page. If between sizes it's always safer to go with the larger size as it's very difficult to alter a dress to make it larger.
Of course, if there is a manufacturer defect, a full refund will be given if we are notified within 48 hours of delivery and the dress is in original condition. Manufacturer defects do not include sizing issues. It is up to the customer to choose the size they want based on the size charts and their own preferences for fit. When a manufacturer defect is claimed, we will issue a UPS pickup. Inspection of the item will occur once received. If a defect is found, the manufacturer will be contacted for a return authorization. If no defect is found, there are 2 options for the customer:
1) The customer may decide to keep the item but will need to pay additional shipping charges resulting from the returns.
2) The customer may decide to opt for our general return policy and accept store credit only for 80% of the price of the dress (20% restocking fee) minus a $30 shipping charge as outlined above.
Basic colors as listed in the style description are just general color names to help in searching for a dress by basic color in our search box. We do not guarantee the accuracy of these basic color names. Actual color choices in the drop-down box are based on detail color names provided by manufacturer. Use this dropdown box to choose your color. Contact Us if you cannot figure out which color choice to order.
Actual color and details of item may vary somewhat from what is shown due to lighting and other variations like monitor settings on individual computers.
It is the customer's responsibility to verify order information at checkout including, but not limited to, size and color ordered. We will process the order based upon the information given on the order.
Shipping
Ground Shipping - Ground shipping is free in the continental US for purchases over $175. For items below $175, choose the $18 shipping option. Allow approximately 5-7 Business Days if the item is in stock in our warehouse. If it must be special ordered from the manufacturer, it may take up to 15 Business Days from the date the item is available and is shipped from the manufacturer depending on your shipping location.
APO's are treated same as Continental US for shipping purposes.
Expedited Shipping - Expedited shipping is available for $55 within the Continental US. Allow approximately 4 Business Days if the item is in stock in our warehouse. If it must be special ordered from the manufacturer, it may take up to 8 Business Days from the date the item is available and is shipped from the manufacturer. If you need expedited shipping both from the manufacturer to us and us to you, it may require additional shipping charges.
Also choose this $55 shipping option for Hawaii and Alaska. For these locations, allow approximately 10-15 Business Days if the item is in stock in our warehouse. If it must be special ordered from the manufacturer, it may take up to 15 Business Days from the date the item is available and is shipped from the manufacturer.
International Shipping - Shipping outside the continental US is $55. We may periodically waive this shipping charge for purchases over a certain amount. Check for promotions on our home page. Allow approximately 6-10 Business Days if the item is in stock in our warehouse. If it must be special ordered from the manufacturer, it may take up to 18 Business Days from the date the item is available and is shipped from the manufacturer. We do not include nor do we calculate any customs, duties, or other applicable fees. These are reported or declared and paid for separately on the customer's end by the customer. All prices on our website are stated in .S.
Be sure to enter your wear date (or latest date you can accept delivery). If the item is available for your wear date, we will process it and send you an email with approximate shipping date. Business Days for shipping are Monday - Friday and exclude holidays. The shipping times described are estimates. We do not guarantee any particular delivery date. We only guarantee that we will get the item to your shipping address by the wear date you give us. Entering your wear date is critical in determining whether we can get the item to you in time. If your item does not arrive at your shipping address by the wear date given, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price upon return of the item in unused condition. However, delivery requires a signature so someone must be present at the shipping address to receive and sign for the package. Upon shipping from our warehouse, we will email you a tracking number to the email address on your order so you can track expected delivery date. We are not responsible for late receipt of package due to failed delivery attempts when no one is available to sign for the package or the shipping address given is not correct. Some of our manufacturers will drop ship directly to your shipping address for a fee. Sometimes, where the wear date is close, we will go ahead and provide complimentary drop shipping.
Product Availability, Payment and Wear Date
Not all items are in our warehouse stock. Often we need to order it from the manufacturer. Often, the item is sold out, especially at the end of the season. Due to rapidly changing inventory, it is not practical for a prom site to keep up-to-date on sold-out items. Therefore, even though your order goes through successfully, it does not mean the item is available. If it is available, the order is processed as a sale and is subject to our return policy. If not, we will let you know by email.
Wear Date is the date you are going to wear the item or the latest delivery date that will work for you, considering alterations needed or other timing considerations. This date is required so we can determine whether the availability and ship dates will work for you. If, in our best judgment, we determine the item you ordered will not be delivered to your shipping address before the wear date you specify, we will NOT charge your credit card and will notify you by email that this is the case.
If you want your item before your wear date, enter that date into the Wear Date field. However, if you give us a wear date that we think we cannot meet, we will not process your order. This date and your shipping method chosen will determine whether the order is finalized-so enter an accurate date. For example, if you really need the item by March 10 but you tell us you need the item by February 28 and we cannot get the item to you by February 28 using the shipping method you chose, we will either cancel your order or notify you of other available options. So, if you want the item, enter the actual date you will wear it or the latest date you will accept delivery, not the date you would like to have it.
If you do not enter a wear date, we assume the shipping time estimate shown with the shipping method you chose and our shipping policies are satisfactory to you. Some products may take 8 weeks or more to arrive. Shipping time estimates given under our shipping policies start from the date the item becomes available at either our warehouse (if in stock) or the manufacturer's warehouse and is delivered to the carrier.
If more clarification is needed regarding your wear date, enter your information into the comments section at checkout. If the item is available in time for the wear date you enter, we will go ahead and process your order and it becomes a sale and subject to our return policy.
When you order online from our website, your credit card goes through an automatic approval process and is authorized but not charged until we determine availability of your item. Once availability for your wear date is established, we go ahead and capture (charge) the transaction and the sale is final at this point and subject to our return policy. If the item is unavailable, we void the authorization on our end. We may offer you a substitute size/color and wait for your response before voiding the sale. It may take 1-3 days or more for your bank to remove pending charges on your credit card account. It could take longer if paid by debit. We have no control over how long it takes your bank to clear pending charges from your account.
Free Items
We often offer Free items for customers who purchase dresses. COMPLETION OF ORDER IS NOT CONDITIONED UPON AVAILABILITY OF FREE ITEM CHOSEN. If the Free item chosen is not available, we will use our judgment to make substitutions. See more information in Free Gifts categories.
Pricing
While our intent is, of course, to provide accurate product and pricing information, pricing or typographical errors may occur. In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or other incorrect information is posted due to an error in entering pricing or other product information, we shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. We will attempt to contact customer for further instructions and/or to inform customer of the cancellation. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of pricing information shown on other sites that may advertise us as a merchant.
Sale prices apply only to items purchased on-line from our stock unless otherwise noted. You will be notified if you place an order for an on sale item that is not in stock in our warehouse.
